Take 'em out to dinner. Someone who has everything probably doesn't care for material gifts anymore. They know they have everything they need and want. I'm sure a good meal to satisfy the tummy would be appreciated by them.

Say hello to my Halloween costume. Although my skirt seems much shorter than that in real life, I'm diggin' it. I've got everything -- wig (came with) and boots. Could've sworn Olive Oyl wore boots? The sucky part is I have a wedding to attend that day. And there's no way out of it. Not that the wedding is sucky, just the fact that I probably won't dress up on Halloween. (Maybe, maybe not). I have heard of parties prior to Halloween so that will give me a good excuse to dress up! If not I can always save it for next year.

I can't believe I didn't search for this sooner. LJ has a iPhone application?! Amazing! I am updating via my psychology class but it hasn't started yet. That's the only way I'm getting away with this. Professor Pervy (my nickname for him because he kinda is one) hates cell phone usage during class. He makes you put it on his desk during the 50 minutes of class time. I never do of course. Why would I when I can just hide it in my lap? Hehe. Yesterday was the annual San Gennaro feast on Little Italy. I went with Worm, JD and Richie Boy. We met up with John & Delina much later in the evening. I always enjoy that feast, more so than others. The area it's in plays a large part. I am going again on Friday, which is a good thing since I arrived at the feast on a full stomach and that's pretty much the worst thing you can do to yourself. There is loads of delicious smells coming at you. Not to mention, Little Italy is a small area lined with dozens of Italian restaurants (what else) that tempt you like no other. The best...well my personal favorite...is Vincent's. I'm pretty darn sure i'm eating there on Friday. Tomorrow Michael, my little bro, turns 18!!!! Crazy stuff! I gotta get him a DVD i know he will like. Oh yeah, I was in the cafeteria on campus, about to leave, when a magazine rack caught my eye. On the cover was a girl I went to high school with. Flipped through it and turns out, she had a whole spread. The location? Our high school! Whoa. Pretty cool -- like taking a trip down memory lane. I even remember her saying she wanted to be a model.

Long time no post! That's because this month has been crazy. Today is my first complete day off in a good long time! It feels utterly fantastic!! The first thing I did was brew a pot of coffee (no brainer) then check all the blogs I read. I have a few phone calls I have to make but I am putting it off until Monday. Relaxation is the only thing on the menu today!
Tonight is J.D's Sutton Place birthday bash. He has one every year and it's always in September because in August (when his birthday actually is) everyone's either really busy or still away on vacation. Now that people are back in town...the fun begins. Even Natali is coming out tonight! (Natali is my childhood best friend) So that should be really interesting. There's two parts, the dinner @ the ESPN Zone and then off to Sutton Place. (Link to see what Sutton is like here: http://www.suttonplacenyc.com/) We have to choose a themed restaurant like the ESPN Zone because we are going to bring such a large group and those restaurants that you find smack dab in the middle of Times Square really accommodate all of us.
As far as school goes, I really enjoy all my classes. The only thing that stresses me out a bit is the process of getting textbooks. Thank God for Amazon...

I've lived in the same town in Queens my entire life but next Monday is my 2 year anniversary of living in my current apartment. I miss home, not gonna lie. I'd rather pay rent for the basement apartment of my parents' house than stay at this apartment. My roommate (other than my sister, whom I share a room with) is much older and sometimes acts like my sister & I are kids. That and she invites 38432465 people over. This morning I woke up and found 5 people staring at me from the living room. Awkward!!

I've started a new blog! I am still going to update LJ but probably not as often. I want to keep it around to read my friends' LJs and the communities, etc.

I'm still trying to get used to this whole Saturday morning class thing. "Cry me a river" I know...I'll go cry into my coffee mug =P
Yesterday was a mini success with Buddy. First off, it was such a gorgeous day. Great for a walk. Getting Buddy out for the walk? Not so great. You know, I have been working with dogs since December 2005 and only once did I ever have a serious problem with a dog and even then, it wasn't like this. Buddy was SPAZZING on me, he was so scared. Shaking/teeth bared. It was like whoa, Buddy! I was calm when I walked in, calm when I went to put the collar on, calm even when he was biting my hand! But after that it just got worse. Not only was he nervous, again with the shaking, but so was I!!! I thought by not moving my hand, it would show I wasn't scared like 'oh go ahead and bite, you big baby' LOL...but Jerry, the owner, said not to let him bite. Regardless, I called him at work (he works very close by) and he was over within 10 minutes. He ended up having to put Buddy's collar/leash on and we all walked together. When we got back, he worked with me & Buddy and in the end? Buddy was giving me face licks! And I got the collar off without him attacking my hand! (Well he tried to at first but we subdued him.) I was so relieved with Buddy, I let him and I loved it, even though I normally don't like doggie drool on my lips/chin =P Mark, my uncle, is coming back from his trip early so he may not need me to walk Buddy all next week. I'm disappointed; I really wanted to continue seeing just how comfortable Buddy could be with me. Plus I love the area (Battery Park City). Maybe I'll come along Monday just for the heck of it.
PS from 6:30 this morning to 7:30 I had to endure my sister doing her hair in our bedroom. Think noisy hair dryer. How well do you think I slept in that last precious hour before I have to get up for school?
