i never thought through love we'd be...
Equus was amazing! I don't think the Harry Potter movies gives Daniel Radcliffe enough room to show his acting chops. I was quite blown away. The scene where he gets naked doesn't happen until near of the second act. It's one of those 'I'll take my clothes off if you do' cases. All I have to say is, that takes guts! And he's naked for quite awhile too. Our on stage seats gave us an above view of play so lets just say I got a good view of uh...it all. DanRad is reaaaaally short though, like 5'2". Overall I'd give this play an A =)
After the play on Saturday, Kim & I took a cab to Phebes, a popular bar in the LES (Lower East Side). Unfortunately neither of us checked our voicemails. Because if we had, we would have known Edgar & Chris decided to go to Playwright instead, a bar in Midtown, closer to where we were in the first place. Le sigh. I was so wiped out at that point (remember, that was when I had just worked 10 hrs straight) that I decided to go home instead of going with Kim to meet Vinnie (her bf) at a bar. This was going to be the first time she met his friends so I figured she needed that time to herself anyway. Sleep was most welcome that night.
Sunday, after working both the matinee and the night show, I had 3 options. 1, go home and wait until Doug got out of work. But by the time he gets home, he passes out and I would have fallen asleep before he even got home. 2, go to Anthony's house but HE was tired. 3, of course, my official backup, go to J.D's house. So to J.D's house I went but I crashed on his couch while vegging out in front of the T.V. Called it a night shortly after.
2 new celebrity sightings! The first was while I was on my walks. Spotted Woody Allen and his wife/ex-daughter Soo-Yi arm-in-arm on 88th & Madison. The second was Jason Schwartzman on 49th & 8th avenue. He looked like he was just out of a walk (a rather fast one) but the first thing I noticed was how clean he looked. And he's very very handsome. I also spotted a former TV actor (MKA Olsen's dad in that brief TV show and no, not 'So Little Time') now has been on Broadway for awhile (OBC Spamalot, Shrek): Christopher Sieber. And one of the main ladies from the new musical [title of show], Heidi Blickenstaff strolling arm-in-arm with her boyfriend.
It's so cold these days, I'm dreaming of my weeklong vacation already. December has never seemed so far away.
